I'll give it a chance. Seems like I can expect it to be a dull and dreary effort (he covers Leonard Cohen, after al); one reviewer said it was more like him talking over a musical background than anything else.
The critics are being a little harsh. Yes, some of its tired, but quite a bit of it agreeably roof-raising. So for me, a mixed bag, But better a half-cup of Tom than no cup at all, right? :D
I guess so.. Anything to make the hour-long cycle home after work easier

Just finished listening to it; not bad at all! Hardly the "spoken-album" some claimed. Now on to Betty Grable; had no idea she could sing!
