Put away the coffee. America's favorite (and sexiest) neighbor Willona, aka Ja'net DuBois, will no longer be coming over for a cup of sass. For this reason alone, I hate today. But did you know? Ja'net was also a noted Broadway star, songwriter and singer.
I'd known she sang the opening song for "The Jeffersons," but only today did I learn that she wrote that classic tune, as well. Dig, if you will, her 1980 LP. And by the way, my favorite part of her obit is this: "No additional details, including her age, were immediately available." Funk with the angels, sweet Willona.
