Bucket Of Sads: Gene Wilder

Everyone's favorite demented chocolate maker was whisked to the heavens today, where he'll hopefully reunite with Gilda. And yes, this is yet another sign that 2016 really hates us.

But he has left us with some lovely tunes. Thank goodness.

Thanks for the acknowledgement. At a time like this, one remembers the many contributions he has left behind for us to enjoy...too many to enumerate.

I agree. And doesn't it seem like 2016 is just picking them off one by one? Hating 2016!

The Guardian did a piece about celebrity death when David Bowie died and pointed out that pop culture's heavy hitters are stacked near the older side of the age spectrum so expect what 2016 has been like to continue for the foreseeable future.

Marty Feldman has a line in Young Frankenstein that I thought of immediately when hearing of Gene Wilder passing away, "Wait master, there may be danger. You go first."
