An icon of soft-rock and early-70s feminism has lifted off to that mansion in the sky, not doubt roaring for all to hear. A few years back, The Guardian published a nice overview of Helen's work - calling her post "I Am Woman" trio of hits "among the darkest in pop" - and it's well worth reading before diving, or re-diving, into her work.
